INVUX8 - Ethernet Inverse Multiplexer over 8E1

INVUX8 is an inverse multiplexer capable of balancing Ethernet traffic over up to 8 E1 frames. Available payload on each E1 is up to 1984 Kbps for an aggregated througput of 15,872 Mbps.

Ethernet interface includes auto MDI/MDI-X, autonegotiation 10/100 and supports pause frames as per IEEE 802.3x for flow control between Ethernet and E1 frames. INVUX8 has a total of 4 Ethernet interfaces allowing the connection of multiple computers or LANs without need of external network devices.

Inverse multiplexing mechanism is automatic, transparent and dynamic. The device uses the E1 transport frames as they available. Operator can set up an CRC errors threshold. If detected CRC errors are above this threshold the INVUX8 relases this frame and it does not use it again untill error are again under the threshold.

INVUX8 can be configured by means of a dip switch on the front panel. It has also a console port that reports the status of both the Ethernet and the E1 ports. Rackmount versions can also be managed by WEB and SNMP using a controller card inserted in the 19'' chassis.

INVUX8 is available in standalone and rackmount formats. Standalone unit is 1U high 19'' rackmount. Rackmount card can be inserted in a chassis with redundant AC or -48DC power supply. Crontoller card on chassis allows for web and SNMP management.
