CONTRIX - V.35/G.703/10BaseTX interface converters

DAVANTEL has a complete range of 2 Mb/s interface converters in standalone and 19'' rackmount format.

Those elements allows the electrical conversion between a transparent 2 Mb/s or frammed nx64 E1 frame and a serial V.35/X.21 interface. They can also be used in a point to point configuration for LAN to LAN extension using a transmission E1 line. In this case, the converter acts as a bridge of both LAN ends forwarding only the traffic with destination to the remote LAN site.

Devices can be localy configured using a set of microswitches and also from a laptop using a simple console application (HyperTerminal or similar) or using  DAVANView graphical configuration software (for Windows OS). Rack mount cards and remote desktop units can also be SNMP managed using DAVANView SNMP software (click here to download the datasheet)

All models have an internal power supply with two available versions: universal AC (90-230AC) and -48DC.

For high installations, DAVANTEL has a 6 U high 19'' rack chassis with capacity up to 15 interface converter cards.

This rack chassis has two -48DC redundant inputs where the user can connect an external power adaptar for AC power supply (90-230AC). A serial interface can be used for configuring all cards in the chassis from a single laptop using console application or  DAVANView software. To get this SNMP Management you need to inser an SNMP Agent (DS-SNMPAG-EN.pdf) into the controller card.
